Research results to be introduced

Within the Gumference the currently achieved novel results from the international project entitled Modeling Wear of Intrinsically Self-Healing Elastomers for Reduced Particle Emission and Improved Lifetime Performance in Future e-Mobility Concepts will be introduced.

Scientists from the Rubber Technology Research Group of the CPS, together with research partners from Germany (Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden e.V., Forschungsbereich Elastomere; Technische Universität Dresden, Institut für Statik & Dynamik der Tragwerke) and France (Laboratoire de Mécanique et d'Acoustique Marseille) started on 01.07.2022. The goal of this project is to create and provide experimental as well as modeling methodologies simplifying and improving the design and prediction capability of innovative material-engineering approaches to enhance the lifetime and durability of elastomers in order to reduce abrasion, wear and micro-pollution of tires for future e-mobility concepts as part of the European Green Deal goals.
